Cross Platform – Being a Mac user I prefer when I can fire up a program locally. WordAi is web based and therefore works on Windows & Macs without issue (Linux as well). SpinnerChief 4 Ultimate has a Web Api that allows spinning from the web, but we did not have much luck with it, so at this time we consider SpinnerChief a Windows only application and therefore requires me to run it in a virtual Windows Machine using VMWare Fusion. This one is a hard one to call because clearly WordAi wins cross platform, but it doesn’t have all the extras that SpinnerChief offers.

Spinning Speed – How quick can these spinners spin the article above. WordAi took 3 minutes and 48 seconds and SpinerChief 4 Ultimate using Super Spin in the balanced setting (meaning try to be unique as possible while still being readable) took less than 3 seconds to generate. I’ve had WordAi take 5+ minutes before, they need to speed things up. Clearly SpinnerChief won the speed test.
Content Uniqueness – This is really subjective, while both spinners aim to produce the highest level of human readability, there is no way of knowing what algorithm these use to determine what is readable. So I decided to use a 3rd party software that would weigh both spinners the same. I used DupeFree Pro for the testing.
